![]() ![]() Whichever direction the game goes it is likely that, in typical Rockstar fashion, it will raise the bar for open-world gaming. With the studio veering away from the typical GTA formula, it is understandable that things may take a little longer. In what may be good news for many, GTA 6 is expected to release in 2024, though some developers are skeptical that the game, which has reportedly been in development since 2014, will be ready by then. However, it may mean that the next entry will ruffle fewer feathers. Of course, the commitment to not punching down does not mean that GTA 6 has to abandon the biting satire and shocking humor that the franchise is known for. Having gamers play as a woman will help to ensure that the series has female characters with as much depth and complexity as the many memorable male characters. While male characters can aspire toward power, female characters who seek control are depicted as insane, as is the case with Catalina. ![]() For most of the franchise's history, female characters are treated as sexual objects, or are depicted as materialistic, unintelligent, and generally annoying. The elements that keep you at the edge of your seats as the LCPD invade on your undoubtedly criminal activities with intent to fit into the ready made American way. With a female protagonist, GTA 6 can do a lot to mend Grand Theft Auto's track record with female characters. Yeah, the missions are a bit repetitive, but it's still a lot of fast paced shooter and high speed chases. ![]() Giving you an even larger gamer experience. ![]() Set aside from the Vice City version that allows you to only buy the business, the Vice City Stories version actually lets you build the business you buy with multiple side missions. Also gave me a chance to really test out my wireless PS2 controller. The intro to the game is a classic oceanfront scenes, fast cars, women, and the club scenes with clips of the bosses with holstered weapons. Looks great with the HD component cables. I had been looking for this title in the game stores but could never stumble across one. This game brought back so many memories of the first Grand Theft Auto Vice City. I was really excited when they released the "stories" version of the GTA games on the PS2 console. The only other game in the franchise to do this was Chinatown Wars, and in both games it's extremely helpful to the player. The second most welcomed feature is the fact that the game keeps track of collectibles for you. Where being busted in older GTA games used to mean I'd reload my save immediately, in this game being busted/dying does not matter at all. The most redeeming and welcomed feature in this game is after being busted or wasted, you'll find a pickup nearby that allows you to pay a $2000 bribe to get all of your weapons back. It takes about 15 minutes to complete, isn't fun and isn't all that challenging. You trigger it on the eastern island beach, immediately get into a boat, and the rest of the mission involves a life guard standing stiff as a brick on the bow of your ship lazily tossing life preservers at drowning swimmers along the shoreline using the driveby function. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, with high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand. The second worst side mission is Beach Patrol. This side mission takes no less than 2 painful hours to complete. To give you an idea of how the engine was optimized for portable play: This helicopter shows no smoke or sparks when you hit things, it simply bursts into flames when it's been damaged too much, leading to a mission failure. You must control a flimsy, easily destroyable, slow as fug helicopter to rescue pedestrians across the islands Vice City, dropping them off at the nearest hospitals (two of the four hospitals on both islands are disabled in this mission for whatever reason). Air Rescue is the worst R3 mission in the entire franchise. Most of the side missions are extremely boring, making this the most painful game to complete 100% since the topdown GTA1 and GTA2 games. However, since Rockstar was developing GTAIV at the time this was made, it feels extremely rushed and subsequently, there are many aspects of the game that I felt could have used more polishing had they had more time. There are extra side missions and stunt jumps exclusive to this port, as well as numerous bug fixes. The PS2 port is superior to the PSP version. I'm a big GTA fan but this game seemed a bit rushed. ![]()
